Water is life. In our dry region, every season without enough water is more than an inconvenience—it’s a challenge. In 2025, thanks to generosity spanning thousands of kilometres, St. Joseph Girls Maungu turned this challenge into triumph. We built a 1.8 million-litre dam, fed by pipes from our rooftops. Crops flourish, hygiene improves, and our girls’ dreams no longer dry up with the sun.

This miracle began with hearts full of generosity. Kristina Teppo, Guilhem Türk, and their team of donors from Luxembourg saw our need and responded with love. They didn’t just fund a dam; they sent a message: “You are not forgotten.” Every drop in that dam is a symbol of hope, resilience, and faith. To all who made this possible—thank you. Your kindness is etched into the soul of our school.

2025 was also a year of knowledge meeting action. Early in the year, we had the honour of hosting Mr. Ridhiwani Sadiki from SDGs Strategic Partnerships & Local Governance in Counties. His introduction of the SDGs Acceleration Program was more than a talk—it was an invitation for our girls to see learning as a tool to solve real-world problems. Science, leadership, and responsibility converged in ways that empowered our students to think beyond the classroom.

July 7th brought a day of joy and celebration. Stephan and the delegation from the Herman Mark Foundation, Germany, visited St. Joseph Girls Maungu. These friends are not just donors—they are builders of dreams. From classrooms to dormitories, from scholarships to mentorship, their support transforms potential into reality. Our girls showcased their talents through music, dance, and creativity. But the true gift was the unwavering belief of our partners. Herman Mark Foundation, your impact lives in every corner of our school. Thank you.
Science came alive when Alex and Rebecca from RPTU Deine University, Germany, visited for a hands-on Chemistry lesson. Curiosity, engagement, and wonder filled our labs, igniting passions that will last a lifetime. To Stephan, who facilitated this visit, we extend heartfelt gratitude. Your support does more than fund initiatives—it inspires dreams.

Every achievement this year reminds us: progress is never solitary. It takes visionaries, friends, and partners who believe that a small school in a remote corner of Kenya can change the world.
To everyone—local and international—who walked with us, invested in our students, and believed in our mission: thank you. Your generosity fuels courage, cultivates resilience, and shapes the future.
As we step into a new year, we carry the lessons of 2025: gratitude is action, education is transformation, and when hearts unite, anything is possible.
